It's Been Awhile...

I was just leaning back in my chair and thinking to myself that it's been awhile since I've blogged about anything that had substance to it. I nitpick a lot. After reviewing my blog, I see that I bounce all over the place. Perhaps that's what makes my blog interesting as a whole to some.

I haven't really shared much about my own personal life and struggles. Right now, my life is chaos. My husband and I are gearing up for a very busy May. Each weekend in May, we have a wedding or wedding-related event to go to. It's that time in your life where friends are either getting engaged, married, or having a baby. Just life. I'm looking forward to a ssslllloooowww April. (Hopefully)

Among other things, our huskies are doing fine. We discovered Piper sings loudly when we make sheep noises at her. I know, right, sheep noises! Maaaaaaaaa or baaaaaaaa seem to get  her going. I'll have to make a video tonight and share it. It's hilarious.

Our Disney Movie marathon has continued on. Last night we watched Bambi, and yes, at 28 years old, I still cried like a sap when his mom dies. Yes, Disney movies when Bambi came out were quite dark. Granted it was their Dark period.. . . . Oh Disney! I am looking forward to seeing Disney's newest creation Moana, when it comes out of course. Looks like Disney will be adding a Polynesian princess to the royal court. I think that'll be amazing to have a more diverse looking group. While Disney is advance in so many ways, they are a bit behind in adding diverse characters. I would love to see an Indian princess - that's dot, not feather - or even maybe a Prince's story. We have such wonderful princesses but what about the prince. He has a life of some sort, why not a prince adventure for once. . . .but Disney has evolved in showing us  you don't always need a prince to save the day. Example: Frozen, and no, I will not break out into song. *humming Let It Go* FAIL.

Oh speaking of movies, if you haven't already seen Paddington, please do. What a cute movie and Paddington is just down right adorable. Who doesn't enjoy a story about a Peruvian marmalade-loving, suitcase-toting, hat-wearing bear with exceptional manners? A British institution for sure!

I'm bouncing around again,.......Speaking of British, honeymoon/ 1st anniversary venture is on the table and now being considered. We are going to spend a week next Jan in Mexico with friends, but I didn't want to give up an anniversary trip or a honeymoon. So we're going to look into either doing a two city trip or a three city trip to the UK. If we opt for two cities, we'll go to London and then to Dublin with a stop at the Isle of Man for the TT races (motorcycle), so my husband can experience that. Unless we do three cities, which would be London, Edinburgh, and Dublin. Either way, I'm pretty pleased with myself since we could do each of those trips and stay through Airbnb. I'm telling ya, we're going to see more places with that under our belt now.

Well the clock is a tickin' here and lots of us are gearing up for our weekly, 3hr staff meeting....no meeting should be or feel that long. =)

Off to work I go. Happy Thursday!
